City Year New York PS 112′s Newspaper Club visits the New York Times
On Wednesday the Newspaper Club from PS 112 went on a field trip to The New York Times building to meet with Greg Brock, Senior Editor.
Mr. Brock gave them a tour of the new building on 8th avenue and answered all of the questions that the students had prepared for him in anticipation of the visit.
The students were very excited when they ran into Bill Keller, the executive editor of the paper, who signed autographs and spoke with the students in the lunchroom.
City Year on the big screen! Thanks Think.MTV

Think.MTV.com is Think MTV’s new multi-media community where young people can get informed, connect to others, voice their concerns and take real world action and get rewarded for their work on the issues important to them and their friends.
ThinkMTV has outfitted 50 of City Year New York’s corps members with Flip video, shoot and share camcorders enabling them to document their year-long service commitment and share it within the Think community and inevitably the world.
Today we were very excited to see a one minute video created by CYNY that was broadcast on MTV’s 44.5 HD Billboard in the middle of Times Square. They ran the video back to back to back from 20 minutes and will continue to run it throughout the spring coinciding with our open houses and application deadlines.
Thanks to all of the supporters at Think.MTV and to Renn Cheadle for the HD authoring help.
