Tonight, at our quarter 3 board meeting, we are thrilled to welcome three new members to the City Year New York Board. Joining our board is Jennifer Glassman, Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at TowerBrook, Jeremy Kroll, CEO and co-founder of K2 Intelligence, and Robert L. Basso, Managing Director at Credit Suisse in the Talent, Branding and Communications division. Please read their bios below and join us in welcoming them to the City Year New York family.
Jennifer Glassman: Jennifer is the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at TowerBrook, based in NY. She was previously a partner and CFO at Soros Private Equity. She worked in a variety of financial control and reporting roles for Soros Fund Management. Jennifer is a certified public accountant, and prior to joining Soros, was a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she worked in the Financial Services Business Assurance practice for over seven years. She earned her B.S. from Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania and received her M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Jennifer is a member of the Endowment Committee of the Junior Associates at the Museum of Modern Art, a board member of COLLAGE: The Art for Cancer Network, and a board member of Literacy, Inc. Jennifer recently was a speaker at a conference held by the Private Equity International, a financial information group dedicated to the alternative asset classes of private equity, real estate and infrastructure globally. It is an independent company with over 90 staff based in four regional offices – London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Jeremy Kroll: Jeremy Kroll is the CEO and co-founder of K2 Intelligence. Before co-founding K2 Intelligence, Jeremy spent 11 years as an executive at Kroll Inc. where he was responsible for the Information Security Group. He led the acquisition and integration of Kroll Ontrack, now a $300 million division, before Kroll Inc. was sold to Marsh & McLennan Cos. in 2004. In addition to his responsibilities overseeing K2 Intelligence’s consulting and investigative operations, Jeremy has led the firm’s strategic development of proprietary software capabilities that greatly enhance the speed, scope and acuity of the K2 Intelligence’s work. Jeremy holds a BA degree in foreign languages and fine arts from Georgetown University. He received his MBA from Trium, the executive global MBA program offered by NYU Stern, L’École des Hautes Études Commercials (HEC) and the London School of Economics. He is also the co-founder of Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc.
Robert Basso: Robert L. Basso is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Talent, Branding and Communications division, based in New York. He is Global Head of the Talent Acquisition Group responsible for campus and lateral recruiting, internal mobility, the on-boarding process, and diversity and inclusion, as well as Head of Human Resources for the Americas region. Mr. Basso is a member of Talent, Branding and Communications Management Committee. Prior to his current role, Mr. Basso was Head of Human Resources for the Investment Banking division. He also served on the Investment Bank Management Committee. In addition, Mr. Basso was previously Chief Operating Officer of the Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) Human Resources department with global responsibility for the Securities Human Resources team. Mr. Basso joined CSFB in May 1995 from Swiss Bank Corporation, where he was an Associate Director responsible for U.S. Fixed Income Human Resources. Mr. Basso holds a B.A. in Business Economics from the State University of New York in Oneonta.
