City Year New York Board Welcomes Newest Member: Terry Hayes

The City Year New York board added their newest member yesterday by unanimous vote.  Terry Hayes, Vice President of Sales & Distribution at T-Mobile USA, first heard about City Year New York through his colleague and former CYNY board member, Chris Hillabrant.  This past September he played a significant role at our 2nd Annual CYNY Golf Charity Tournament.

Terry leads T-Mobiles’  B2B  Sales team and third party distribution efforts for the east coast of the United States.  He helped start up a fledging  wireless company, Omnipoint, in 1996 where he transitioned from Director of Business Marketing to Executive Director of Sales & Distribution.  After being acquired by T-Mobile, Terry held various roles such as Director of Indirect Sales, VP National Dealer Network based in Seattle and even had an opportunity to work internationally at T-Mobile UK in London.  Prior to T-Mobile, he spent 13 years in various sales and marketing roles at AT&T.

Terry has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from University of Scranton in Scranton, PA & an MBA from Adelphi University in Garden City, Long Island.  He has three children:  daughter Cara who attends high school at The Pingry School; son Colin who attends Rutgers University; and son Christopher who is a Villanova graduate working and living in Hoboken, NJ.  Terry resides in Annandale, NJ.  His passions are his work, soccer and his children’s achievements.

We welcome Terry to our family and are excited that he has joined our team!
