CYNY board co-chair nominated to be deputy secretary of state

“President-elect Barack Obama named James Steinberg and Jacob “Jack” Lew to be deputy secretaries of state, the Obama transition office announced.Both will serve under Hillary Clinton, whom Obama has nominated to be secretary of state when he takes office Jan. 20.

…Lew, 53, also served in the Clinton administration. He was director of the Office of Management and Budget from 1998 to 2001 and its deputy head for three years before that.
