  1. Final week of Pepsi Refresh Project: CHECK OUT what happened when members of our staff and senior corps visited Citi Field onTuesday to promote our Pepsi Refresh Project with the Mets.   Please help us win this $200,000 grant by voting up to 25 times each day – to vote text “Mets” to 76462.   2. Bank of America Service Day: On Wednesday City Year hosted 400 Bank of America volunteers for a service day at Poor Richards Playground in East Harlem.  Volunteers built bulletin boards and board games, painted murals and beautified the park’s playground and basketball courts.
  3. Daily News Article: On Wednesday Daily News reporter Holly Reich featured City Year New York’s Dean and Advisory Board Vice Chair David Caplan in an article titled “Keeping At Risk Students In School.” To read click HERE
  4. City Year leadership visits their “Zones”: On Monday and Thursday of this week our CY school based staff visited their neighborhoods for the first time.  They set goals for the year and traveled to their communities to visit service sites and partners.
  5. Registration Day: Today our recruitment department hosted corps member registration.  Corps members are being enrolled into AmeriCorps and getting their first introduction to our office and staff.
