Five Things Friday: What’s Going On At CYNY

1. #RipplesOfHope: This past Tuesday night marked our 9th Annual Ripples of Hope Dinner. Over 450 of New York’s corporate, civic, and philanthropic leaders joined us in support of the corps member’s and students they serve. It was a truly inspirational night which you can experience all over again by checking out our blog recap and #RipplesOfHope on storify.

2. Best Week Ever: This week is Spring Break for our students, so our corps members are participating in what we call the “Best Week Ever.” The week kicked off with a site wide trivia tournament hosted by City Year’s Senior Vice President & Dean, Charlie Rose. Throughout the remainder of the week, corps members have been together in their zones working to strengthen their civic knowledge by attending education forums and providing alternative service in the communities we serve. Today, each zone will bring their ultimate Spirt, Discipline, Purpose, and Pride at the first ever CYNY Olympics. The prize for the winning zone? A GOLDEN TIMBERLAND BOOT! Check our twitter later to find out which zone takes home the prize!
